The Chemistry (Honours) syllabi is a fine balance of inorganic, organic and physical chemistry along with related fields like physics, mathematics, biology and computer science. Emphasis is laid both on fundamental and applied part. This enables the student to opt for any of the specialized fields such as green chemistry, environmental chemistry, industrial chemistry, nanotechnology, bio-technology, analytical chemistry, computer applications and instrument handling etc for higher studies and research ,or lucrative placements in the industry. The department has six chemistry and four instrumental laboratories, and also a well-equipped departmental library apart from general library. Our teaching faculty includes a team of dedicated academicians, researchers and environmentalists. They are committed to guide the student at all times with their valuable suggestions.
