Garden Committee
The College Garden, Lawns
and Nursery are maintained by the malis and gardeners of the
college, Dr. Manju Mathur , Dr. Monika Koul, Mr. R.C. Mehta and Mr.
Vijay were involved in supervision of various gardening related
activities in the year 2010-11. The garden committee is involved in
plantation and maintenance of green cover in the college. Seasonal
flowers are planted in pots and beds to give colourful look to the
campus. Every year some new varieties of ornaments are planted.
Hans Raj College also
participated in Annual Flower Show organised by the Delhi
University. The college submitted its entries in various categories
of ornamentals foliage, annual and cut flower categories of
ornamentals foliage annual and cut flower categories. Double Pansies
in the Cut Flower Category won First Prize. Palm Exhibits won third
prize, Succulents were adjudged as highly commendable. The crotons
and other foliage plants were included in highly appreciable
categories. Mr. Rahul got the best Mali Award at Annual Flower Show
of the University.
